Karmatang Beach
Karmatang Beach, located around 12 km from Mayabunder in North Andaman, is a peaceful and scenic retreat famously known as the "Turtle’s Paradise." This beach is a key nesting ground for sea turtles like the Leatherback, Green, Hawksbill, and Olive Ridley, especially between December and February. The beach also features a turtle hatchery and eco-friendly amenities like bamboo huts, changing rooms, and a children’s play area, all managed by the Forest Department. Visitors can enjoy boat rides through mangrove creeks or relax on hammocks under palm trees. Easily reachable from Mayabunder, it is perfect for a quiet day trip away from crowded tourist spots.
