Itinerary
Arrive at Guwahati, where you will be greeted by our representative. Visit the iconic Kamakhya Temple, a revered Shakti Peetha. Take a scenic Brahmaputra river cruise (if time permits) and enjoy the sunset. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to Nameri National Park (approximately 5 hours). This eco-paradise is home to rare bird species and diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, enjoy a nature walk, followed by a relaxing evening at the eco-camp. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Post breakfast, head towards Dirang, a picturesque valley in Arunachal Pradesh (6–7 hours). En route, stop at the Tipi Orchid Centre, known for its stunning collection of orchids. On arrival, check into your hotel and unwind amidst nature.
After breakfast, explore Dirang’s popular attractions. Visit the Dirang Dzong, a historical fort with stunning views, and the Hot Water Springs, known for their therapeutic properties. Experience the rich heritage of the Monpa tribe. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Begin the journey to Tawang (5–6 hours), passing through the breathtaking Sela Pass (13,700 ft), adorned with stunning landscapes and the sacred Sela Lake. Stop by Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to a 1962 war hero. Arrive in Tawang and check in to your hotel.
Spend the day exploring Tawang Monastery, the largest in India and a hub of Buddhist culture. Visit the Giant Buddha Statue and the Tawang War Memorial, which pays homage to the soldiers of the Indo-China War. Enjoy the panoramic views and peaceful ambiance before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, take a thrilling drive to Bumla Pass, located near the Indo-China border (weather permitting). En route, visit the pristine Madhuri Lake (also known as Shonga-tser Lake), surrounded by snow-clad mountains. Return to Tawang for dinner and overnight stay.
Bid farewell to Tawang and head to Bomdila (5–6 hours). En route, enjoy the captivating views of mountains and rivers. Upon arrival, visit the Bomdila Monastery and explore the local market. Check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, begin your journey to Shillong (approximately 7–8 hours). Enjoy scenic landscapes en route. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax for the evening.
After breakfast, explore Shillong’s highlights, including the Umiam Lake, Elephant Falls, and the vibrant Police Bazaar. Later, you will be dropped off at Guwahati for your onward journey, concluding your Northeastern Nirvana with Dirang Sightseeing Tour.
